Whitecourt Transport began as a small family trucking company in Mayerthorpe, Alberta, and has grown into a trusted transportation and equipment contracting service provider. Its story of growth and success over the past 80 years includes hauling freight, livestock, heavy equipment, forest products, oilfield supplies and more. 

Founded in 1946 by Nick Evasiuk, the company started with a single open-box truck. Nick’s dedication to helping his family and neighbours, combined with his resourcefulness and legendary determination, set the foundation for a business that would span three generations. His sons, Dave and Rick, carried on his passion for trucking, passing it on to their children.

Today, Whitecourt Transport is a diversified, family-run company specializing in bulk wood fibre hauling, LTL freight services, warehousing, and heavy equipment contracting. Guided by the same values of service, integrity, and community that Nick instilled, the company continues to grow and innovate while contributing to the economic development of north and central Alberta.
