THE OPPORTUNITY
New to Class 1 driving? This is a great place to start.
As a Class 1 Yard Truck Driver with Whitecourt Transport, you’ll have the opportunity to build real-world driving experience in a supportive yard environment. This position is ideal for a newly licensed Class 1 driver looking to develop confidence behind the wheel, strengthen backing and maneuvering skills, and become comfortable handling larger trucks and equipment before progressing into highway driving.
Gain valuable hands-on experience, build your skills, and create a strong foundation for your career as a professional Class 1 driver.

JOB DUTIES

• Perform daily vehicle inspection and communicates all vehicle maintenance issues with local shop staff
• Load and deliver wood chips, sawdust, and bark mulch from overhead bins
• Tarp trailers with easy to use roll tarps
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle in compliance with company standards
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Class 1 license
• Must be based in Whitecourt, AB
• Must have own transportation
